This is where things get www.adischoenen.nl interesting. Iâve talked to a few other people who have run in the Zante and the comparison I am seeing frequently is a a cross between the Pearl Izumi Road N1 and the Saucony Kinvara. My initial thought was a cross between the Skechers GoRun 1 and the PI Road N1. The reason being is that it has the firm sole feel and smooth transition of the Pearl N1, and a midfoot bump and upper reminiscent of the Skechers GR1.One of the first things I noticed upon putting the shoes on my feet was the distinct midfoot bump. Some might call it arch support, but to me it feels more like a bump or ridge that extends across the width of the shoe under the arch. In this sense itâs like the GR1 or maybe the original Brooks PureConnect (the PI N1 even has a bit of this type of feel). It was a bit disconcerting at first, but like the bump in the GoRun the sensation went away after running in them a bit. You will feel it while standing in them, but it has been a non-issue for me on the run. Altra has stirred up a bit of controversy in recent months with a move toward more cushioning in their footwear. Goedkope Adidas Superstar Nederland They beefed up and softened the Instinct in version 2.0 (have not run in them, but saw a pair last week and they are very soft), they introduced the maximally cushioned Altra Olympus trail shoe, and are soon to release the maximal Altra Paradigm road shoe. Shoes like the ultraminimal Samson and Adam are no longer in production. In perhaps the biggest change, the Altra The One has been totally redesigned from a low-profile, racing flat-style shoe to a Saucony Virrata/Kinvara-style lightweight trainer. One point of concern about the sole â I noticed this morning that the white paint along the upper portion of the sole was flaking off. Purely cosmetic, and hopefully Altra can get this under control in production:Altra The One2 Paint Flake Conclusion Some are going to hate what Altra has done to The One, but I for one really like the One2. Itâs the first Altra shoe that Iâd truly consider for a marathon distance race, and it combines softness and flexibility in a way that I have yet to see in any other Altra (I havenât yet tried the Instinct 2.0). New Balance MT101 v2 New Balance MT101v2 â image via Running WarehouseIn the interview, Murray indicates that one of the major reasons for bringing back the MT101 are âThe continuous requests I have been getting via email or even at trail events to bring back the 101. I have never experienced such a following for one particular model before.â Seems the MT101 may be the Brooks Launch of trail shoes. It sounds like the MT101v2 will be on the same sole as the original (yes!), with the update mainly being a refresh to the upper. Fit should be the same as well (itâs not on the Minimus last like the MT110 was, but I found the fit generous). Iâm hoping New Balance will keep the price point low as well â the MT101 was an affordable shoe and Iâm hoping itâs successor will be equally accessible in that regard. In the MT110v2 New Posted Image Balance has ditched the roomy Minimus last for a snugger fit, and they have moved the shoe onto a more aggressively lugged platform. I havenât seen the shoe myself, but Nate has a pair and has run in them a few times. His informal review to me is that the new sole is awesome, but the new last is a big problem for him and may be a deal breaker. He should have a review up on Biker Nate soon. The only detailed review I have seen so far o Nike Air Max Goedkope Nederland f the MT110v2 was posted by Jeremy over at Purposeless Play. |
