Tired of cleaning your animals and their waste? This tutorial may help.
Let's begin...
Open the main xml file for a desired animal species and find <SetAttribute name="hygiene" value="0" threshold="20"
Change the number 20 on something above 100.
This altering will disable the 'clean me' message when you approach dirty animals. Keepers won't clean them, too. Eventually, the animals will become clean again. Checked on elephants & giraffes, should work with others, too.
Now, about poop. Since it's not degradable, we should make it invisible, then, disable the cleaning option to avoid stumbling over invisible poop :D and, finally, get rid of its smell!
Open the entities archive, go to objects\items\ai. Open poop.xml.
Delete the following:
<smell key="bad" value=".2"
This removes the smell.
<ZTUserStaffAction>
<RemoveObject locid="superstaff:animal_poop" effect="SuperStaffRake" delay="2.0" prescript="behavior:scripts/CompostPoo.lua:CompostPoo"/>
</ZTUserStaffAction>
This makes the poop unnoticeable both by you and keepers.
Open xml for every type of poop, find scale= and set 0,001 or smaller.
This makes poop invisible.
Now, you can build safari parks with happy animals and no keepers! Just don't forget about enrichment and food.
