The only time I've shot an animal is with a tranquilizer or a camera. XD |

Thank you for the likes and comments! Tentacles, do you work with animals for a living? I'm curious since you say you've used a tranquilizer. |

met predators yet? also a funny thing that another hunting game which i'm playing (TheHunter is definitely better. the eyes of grizzlies are poorly made) have herbivores attacking us. it was funny when i was in a cougar night hunt. there's an elk near me but i ignore it and shot the cougar but suddenly an angry antlered creature stands up. luckily i have a knife and killed the elk. and that's the last knife in the storage XD. the same thing happens with Caribou, but I got killed that time lol! now I kinda shot or walk away from animals that is near. 1 bison for 2 Jaguars (which is searched), check! i lost the level only because that bison. Canada Lynx and White wolfs happen to be aggresive too. the bad thing is wecan only walk side yo side. i bet thehunter is better, eventhough that game will be one of my favorites. PS: i noticed that it's by Glu company. for IPad actually. |

After taking a break from theHunter for a couple of weeks to play other, less time-consuming games, focus on school, and catch up on sleep, I've become completely addicted to it again and am ready to start posting more updates. I've been playing the game almost nonstop since Friday night, and in that time i've gone on a total of ten hunts and have taken down a grand total of thirty-five animals. Every one of my hunts was more than an hour long with the exception of four, two of which I abandoned almost immediately simply due to poor weather conditions. My longest hunt was two hours and fifty-three minutes long, in which I fired six shots and brought down five animals, and my most successful hunt to date was at Redfeather Falls in which I took down a total of ten animals in one hour and fifty-seven minutes. I almost feel cheap about hunting there because of how incredibly wildlife-rich the region is, but I guess I shouldn't complain since that's where I took down my highest scoring whitetail buck to date, which i'll show in a future update. You guys will also be glad to know that my thirty-five new trophies also include four new species, so hopefully we'll be able to breathe some life back into this thread again now that I have tons of new material for updates. You can also expect another update later today announcing my second theHunter video, which i've already recorded but haven't yet uploaded to youtube. This hunt displays a little more tact and skill than the first one, so look forward to it if you enjoyed my first video. :) For our first update in quite some time, I have three turkeys to show you by request of Bigwhale for his birthday, and also in commemoration of the just-passed Canadian Thanksgiving. Because I took each of these birds on a different hunt, i'll just post the important and shared information rather than listing all of the statistics that I normally would, just so that it's less cluttered and doesn't become a massive post. If you really want to know the other information, though, then just ask and i'll be glad to post it. At first I thought it would be especially difficult to hunt these feathery critters due to their small size, dark colours and preference for living in foliage-thick forests, but what I wasn't counting on was for their bright red necks and heads to act just like a beacon, telling me where they are and giving me something to aim at. It must have also been mating season when I went hunting because the turkeys seemed to be constantly strutting around and floofing up their feathers, making themselves an even bigger target and drawing my attention with the movement. Despite this, though, they were still quite a bit more difficult to hunt than deer because they don't come out in the open nearly as often, forcing you to get very close to them before having any chance of actually spotting the animal. It was a fun challenge and a nice change to hunt these guys as they require completely different tactics to take down, so I want to thank Bigwhale for requesting them, and I hope this update satisfies you as your belated birthday present! :) Hunt Statistics Reserve: Settler Creeks Weapon:.44 Revolver (Silver) Posted Image Trophy Statistics Specie: Turkey Sex: Male Score: 45.167 Weight: 9.702 kg (21.4 lbs) Shot Distance: 109.5 ft(33.370 m) Time of harvest: Oct. 20, 2012, 12:58AM Point of impact: Body Posted Image Trophy Statistics Specie: Turkey Sex: Male Score: 43.665 Weight: 8.731 kg (19.2 lbs) Shot Distance: 118.8 ft (36.200 m) Time of harvest: Oct. 20, 2012, 1:44AM Point of impact: Body Posted Image Trophy Statistics Specie: Turkey Sex: Male Score: 61.276 Weight: 9.150 kg (20.2 lbs) Shot Distance: 147.5 ft (44.950 m) Time of harvest: Oct. 20, 2012, 1:35PM Point of impact: Body On a final note, I would just like to confirm that the bears do, indeed, attack you... 0_______0 (I took revenge on his cousin though >:] *hint hint*) |

Whoops, sorry about that guys. My update post might've been a bit much. :P I think I was trying just a little too hard to make it impressive lol. At any rate, my second video is up. You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEW2ipPt0fE To answer your question, Bigwhale, I didn't escape the bear. :S As soon as I saw him charging me I looked down at my keyboard to find the, "draw weapon" button, but I was too slow, and the next thing I knew my camera was tumbling head over heels as the bear sent me flying. After that I was forced to retire to the closest lodge, which happened to be my starting point for that hunt. Since then i've managed to take down two bears so i'll show those in a near-future update, but it won't be the next one as I have other trophies i'd like to show you first. :) |
