So what happens after you kill an animal? Does it give you the option of closing the animal's eyelids? Or is there just a sudden feeling of "WOOO I KILLED AN ANIMAL! Ahhhhhh...now what? Oh look, a bird. Prepare to die, bird," and then you ditch the deer? |

LOL!! XD;; Actually, it's more like "WOOO I KILLED AN ANIMAL WHICH GIVES ME MORE HUNTER SCORE POINTS AND A HIGHER TROPHY HARVEST COUNT WHICH MEANS MORE COMPETITIONS ARE UNLOCKED FOR ME TO ENTER SO I CAN EARN MONEY SO I CAN BUY NEW EQUIPTMENT WHICH UNLOCKS OTHER HUNTING OPPORTUNITIES!! Ahhhhh...oh look, a bird! Prepare to die, bird! Oh, you're a pheasant, which I unlocked the ability to hunt by killing my previous animal!!!" *ditches deer which then proceeds to slowly fade into thin air after having been registered in my HunterMate* ^_^ Plus I get a nice photo for my troubles XD CL and Littlefish, thank you!! I'm glad you like the photo as much as I do :) |

Littlefish, i've shot and taken feral hogs and i've shot - but lost, sadly - a black bear. I've tracked black bears a couple of times but only once have I actually seen and shot one. It was only a superficial wound unfortunately, and the bear managed to lose me in the forest by looping around and going over its tracks again, confusing the hell out of me lol. After about an hour or more of searching I finally gave up trying to find it. In hindsight, it was a bad idea to let loose that initial shot in the first place, because it wasn't a planned shot nor did I aim for any vital organs. The bear was in the process of fleeing and was about to disappear into the trees, so I simply made a spur-of-the-moment shot in the hopes of injuring it enough to slow it down and make it easier to track (because it would leave a blood trail). Unfortunately, i'd forgotten just how difficult it is to take down - or slow down - the larger animals (I once took down a moose only after hitting it with three shots! But that's another story). At any rate, the bear didn't really slow down at all and the wound must have been pretty superficial because the blood trail didn't last very long. It was a pretty inexperienced encounter on my part, but i'll know better for next time :P I promise i'm trying hard to get a bear for you guys, but they're fast and scare very easily. They probably require the most patience and skill out of any animal to be taken down. Here is a whitetail doe - my second favortie whitetail trophy - to go with my last one. I'll show you guys something different in the next update.
